Bournemouth is the gateway to the south coast and the town itself boasts seven miles of beach, plenty of activities and places to explore, and the nearby rolling Dorset countryside.
We are ideally-placed just two hours by train from London, and well within reach of places further afield via flights to Bournemouth or Southampton airports, or via ferry into nearby ports such as Poole, Portsmouth or Southampton. We can bring the campervan to you if needed, to save on too many transfers! (Only for an extra cost if it’s more than half an hour away.) The perfect location to start your adventure!
Bournemouth and its surrounding areas provide coastline, countryside, forest, events and attractions for everybody to enjoy. We have everything from high-energy watersports and coastal walks to excellent museums, attractions and shops, as well as great local restaurants and nightlife. Dorset holds some of the south’s biggest events, including the Bournemouth Air Festival, the Great Dorset Steam Fair near Blandford, Dorset Seafood Festival in Weymouth… and even the Dorset Knob Throwing Festival!
There are campsites across Dorset to suit everyone, from no-frills to those with all the facilities you could want.
Travel further afield
Outside of Dorset, the New Forest, Salisbury Plain, Southampton and Dartmoor are all within easy travelling distance. As regulars in Devon and Cornwall, our campervans can frequently be found somewhere along the A30 en route to their next adventure. We’re not far from ferries to the Isle of Wight. In fact, many of our vans were converted into campers by our favourite Islanders, Northstar Conversions! Head up to Snowdonia for a climbing weekend, or tour the picture postcard villages of the Cotswolds. Or, in fact, anywhere further afield – our vans have made it to the four corners of the UK and across the Irish Sea! European travel is available too – start your trip by hopping across the channel on a local ferry.
Why not upgrade your festival experience – ditch the canvas and do it in style in a campervan! It’s a great way to experience the festival with the benefit of running water, a fridge for your beer, and the ability to cook a bacon butty the morning after!
With festivals such as Camp Bestival, End of the Road, Common People, Victorious, Isle of Wight – and of course Glastonbury – nearby, there is something for everyone.
Get yourself out there
A romantic getaway, a family trip to the seaside, a walking holiday along the Jurassic coastline, or just some peace and tranquillity in a forest somewhere; our campervans will take you wherever you want to go. Your next adventure starts here!
